Life is like a bowl of . . .

So I have this brass bowl. I've always loved it but I don't know what to do with it. For a while it sat collecting counter top clutter. I'm in Spring Cleaning mode, which means I have the urge to re purpose things. I'd love to display this bowl. Any ideas?

    I have a random bowl in my life, too. It holds a variety of things depending on my mood...fruit, mail, books I want to keep in the kitchen, bread, junk, ...and sometimes it just sits on my table or on top of the fridge and looks pretty:)

    Hmm. I kind of need to assess the entire situation before giving an answer although I can say it would look good on a big old mantel or pass through holding big twine balls, pineones, shells; etc. It would also look good spray painted off white :)

    Thanks Heather! It would look nice just sitting there. I'm all about efficient use of space, so I was trying to have it do double duty. I'll have to think on it.

    Beth - I like the idea of the pass through. I have an urn with twine balls. I bought little fake fruit filler, but I didn't love it. You'll have to pop in and give me an idea.

    I love the bowl! I would leave it on the table and put some wonderful potpourri in it and change the scents for each season. Would probably work well in the "pass thru", but I haven't seen that and the table photo looks good.
